Topstiching thread is often used as heavy duty thread for button sewing, repairing rugs and upholstery, and other heavy duty tasks.

The Gütermann reel (spool) has been developed and engineered with the sewer in mind and offers:

• Tall reel with cross-wound thread - this for an smooth and even pull off during machine sewing ensuring consistency in machine sewing
• Non-cellophaned reel - allows the customer to shade match accurately
• Tie-off facility - winding the loose end of thread around the tie off facility ensures that thread is kept clean and neat in the work basket
• Removable tie off facility - should the end of the thread become "lost" in the tie off the whole end plate can be removed for retrieval
• Clear labelling - each end label indicates the shade number and bar code and has a perforated centre section ensuring that once used, the label portion containing the information remains intact
