Then use the fabric you created to make a fun drawstring bag with a ruffled top. Easy-to-follow instructions with pictures take you step-by-step through the EASY process of texturizing, cutting, and sewing the bags. The pattern includes complete instructions for two sizes of bags. The small bag is about 8"W x 11"H x 6"D. The large bag is about 13"W x 14"H x 8"D. Both bags are fully lined and super-simple to make. You'll be amazed how quickly they go together! One package of Texture Magic will texturize enough fabric for both bags. Just stitch the entire piece of Texture Magic to a piece of fabric the same size. Then cut out the pieces of fabric as detailed in the pattern. You may also skip the texturizing step and make a really quick and easy drawstring bag.

Humbug Bag (Pattern)
from Make It Easy
Humbug Bag is a twisted tote that makes a perfect "little something" gift--for teachers, grandkids, neighbors, babysitters, etc. The shape is based on a traditional 19th century English candy, from which the bag takes its name. These are exceptionally quick, easy, and fun to make (make one in less than an hour). Three sizes are included. The small is great for things like coins & keys, pretty pebbles, a bit of jewelry. Medium can hold make-up, kid's collections of markers or crayons, etc. And the large is great for things like toiletries, swimming gear, hockey pucks and the like. Humbug Bags can be made from all sorts of fabrics, from fake fur to utilitarian nylon. Perhaps the most fun is to quilt your own fabric. Easy, illustrated instructions are included on how to do both free motion quilting and grid quilting. This is a terrific pattern for someone just learing to quilt... but great, too, for experienced quilters who just can't seem to find time to work on a "real" quilt but crave a quick quilting fix! This small project also makes a great canvas for embroiderers and beaders to practice their skills. Another extra with this pattern: A sheet of gift tags, ready to photocopy. They add a touch of class to your gift--certain to impress your recipient!
