Our friend, Jennie Rayment has written another lighthearted book, filled with natty notions and small projects. The very simple designs from bags to boxes, tableware and a host of other delectable delights are wholly sewn on the serger but can be adapted for sewing machines. All the ideas are simple, and easy to follow with Jennie's most excellently clear diagrams and illustrations. Humour rules throughout and many hilarious anecdotes litter the text. Jennie's new book is packed with colour and amusement - this is a 'must have' for every serger owner. Tucked Up In Bed
The third book of "Nipping and Tucking" is full of delicious, delectable, delightful and very desirous designs. This light-hearted tome contains twelve more new textured ideas and is biased towards Quilt-making. All these amazingly innovative and fascinating creations are produced in a block format for stitching together as a Sampler Quilt. In addition there are nifty ideas for borders and layout, plus lots of extraneous information on assembling and creating a Tucked-Up masterpiece. For a little light relief, interspersed through out the text are amusing anecdotes about the author's inability to find a man and other humorous stories regarding life, the universe, Uncle Tom Cobbley and all!! Tucks & Textures Two
Jennie continues her love affair with twiddling, fiddling, dipping, dyeing, and tucking, taking muslin farther than imagined. Of course her techniques can be done with cottons of any color if you don't care to dye the fabric. There are pillows, landscapes, wall hangings, and bags, including her now famous Pioneer Scrip, complete with story.
