Judy Nowicki walked into Erica's Craft & Sewing Center years ago with no idea of how it would change her life! I showed her the Viking model 990 and a simple Pictogram and told her we'd be having classes on all kinds of things with this wonderful machine. Within a week Judy was back in the shop showing me how to do Pictograms! Her first design was an elaborate basket of flowers that later appeared in her first book. We talked Judy into teaching classes, and her students and I talked her into writing books with her designs to share with Viking lovers who couldn't get to her classes.
Along the way, Judy won a $1000 Saving Bond, the first prize Viking offered for ingenuity using the exclusive features of the top of the line sewing machine. She won another prize for the vest you see her shown with here, and another for digitizing a wonderful Peacock Vest for yours truly. Some of her garments have toured with Sue Hausmann and have been seen on "America Sews with Sue Hausmann" on PBS. Sue asked Judy to make her a vest similar to the one here for Sue to wear on one of her shows and Judy was delighted to whip one up for her. Some of Judy's designs have also appeared in the "America Sews" books. We have shipped Judy's books all over the world and she's received lovely fan letters. We're delighted to have this wonderfully talented lady as a part of our teaching staff here at Erica's.

	Pictogram^TM Block Party Quilt Embroidery Collection For those who don't have time to do Pictograms^TM, or for our .hus, .art and .pes friends, Judy has just finished digitizing the designs for automatic embroidery! It has all the designs and complete quilt instructions on CD for larger single position hoops. This is a true work of art, and a real bargain at this price! 	Pictogram^TM Block Party This time Judy has taken the Pictogram^TM to a new height of creativity! In this book she combines applique, decorative stitches, candlewicking, and Pictograms^TM into wonderful quilt blocks. You will have instructions for 10 different 15" blocks, which you can also use as pillows, and a larger center medallion. She made a twin size quilt, but includes instructions for enlarging the center block and adding extra blocks. We're delighted to be able to have a new book for people who don't have embroidery machines yet, as well as those who do, and still enjoy the manual part of creating.
