Postage Stamp Posies (Pattern)

This variation on an Irish Chain pattern is also known as "Postage Stamp" as the pieces are traditionally the size of a postage stamp. In this pattern they are a bit larger-- finishing to 1-1/4" square. Of course, we don't cut thousands of tiny squares, but instead use quick and easy strip piecing methods. The posies in the open blocks are given an extra-special touch with embroidery. Feel free to make this quilt your way with any coloration of scraps or fat quarters. Instructions given for Wall-hanging, Twin, Full and Queen sizes.

Hummingbird (Pattern)

This lovely pattern is also known as Job's Tears or Periwinkle. This may look difficult to piece, but with the 30 degree triangle, it is quite simple-- it's a four-patch with sashing-- what could be simpler?
