All you really need to know about Kaleidoscope blocks is what size block you want to make; with Kaleido-Ruler the rest of the calculating is automatic. There are two kaleido-Rulers. The finished size of the desired block determines which tool to use. The larger ruler is marked for Kaleidoscope-type blocks in every inch from 6" to 16" square. Larger blocks are wonderful for intricate Spider Web and string piecing. They also make big quilts faster! However, if your preference is smaller blocks and smaller quilts, even miniatures, the smaller Kaleido-Ruler, marked for every half-inch size from 2" up to 8" square, is much easier to handle when cutting little pieces. 8" is still big enough for a full size quilt. |
