Annette Drysdale has created 'Seeing Spots', a fun sleeveless dress with bright picture smocked spots and rows of colourful ricrac around the hem for young ladies 8 - 12 years. If you are looking for a really versatile style, Kathy Dykstra has just the thing with a wonderful apron dress 'All Tied Up' and she has stitched two different versions for us. One, hot pink crinkle cotton with cute picture smocking would be perfect for the beach and the other, a more sophisticated style, is stitched in elegant linen and lace. Kris Curtis has written another fascinating 'A Stitch in Time' article, this time exploring the history of bibs, plus she has created two lovely examples for you to try. William Morris was a superb designer and if you love his style of fabrics then 'Kelmscott' may be just the thing. Stitched in two styles, a classic yoke dress with white collar and cuffs and a sleeveless wrapover style with white binding, both dresses use the same smocking design.
