We carry a wide variety of fabrics at our store and will continue to add to our online fabric pages. It is our goal to offer our customers the ability to add to the variety and depth of their fabric collection, without always having to buy a minimum 1/2 yard piece of fabric. We sometimes create bundles to help.
To purchase cut to order: Simply replace the zero with the number of whole yards you want and/or choose a fractional quantity from the drop down list next to any fabric (1/8, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 5/8, 2/3, 3/4, & 7/8) then click the button to add that fabric to your order. (1/2 yard minimum for each fabric)

The Magic Vine Quilt

Grow a flower garden in beautiful fabrics to grace your bed or wall as Eleanor Burns presents Magic Vine. The patterns for Magic Vine originated in the 1930's in a newspaper quilt column written by Florence LaGanke Harris. As part of a series, LaGanke presented one new pattern each week. In addition to the pattern, the reader was treated to a fictitious story about a quilt group and their leader, Nancy Page. In the group, they shared stories, and decided on what colors to use for their flowers. Twenty-two flowers are appliqued in rows with twinning vines. It is magical because of the variety of flowers that grow on the vine. The vine grows quickly, like the magic vine in Jack and the Beanstalk. Whimsical flowers and leaves are easily made, using light-weight paper backed adhesive or the quick turn method using non-woven fusible interfacing. The outside edges are finished with a variety of techniques: satin stitch, blanket stitch, blind hem stitch, and hand applique. Give Magic Vine a traditional 1930's look using reproduction fabrics or bright and contemporary with vibrant batiks. Enjoy embellishing the flowers with hand or machine stitches, beads, and crystals.

Scallops, Vines and Waves Template
In designing the quilts for "Magic Vine Quilt" (#29985) Eleanor Burns developed a heavy gauge plastic template to make fancy finishes for her quilts. The template can be used to make a vine and leaves border, a waved edge, or a scalloped edge. A 16-page booklet is included with each template with instructions on its use. This template can be used with any quilt that you wish to dress up with a unique finish.
