I've used a favorite stabilizer for years that I've called rinse away stabilizer. Its real name is Tear Away-Wash Away, and after doing my whole Colour Purple Quilt with it, I've just found another feature of it that has made it even more wonderful.

I'd liked it because what's left after tearing it away is soft in my garments, and not scratchy, and it eventually disintegrates. But what I discovered by accident while doing my Federation Quilt is that when I'm finished with my embroidery and decorative stitching, I can wet it, and just pull it away like wet Kleenex, and it's gentle to the stitching, and much less of it is left when I put the quilt together!

It was like finding out something else wonderful about an old friend!
