Piece in the Hoop

Turn your embroidery machine into a block-piecing machine. These projects are pieced and assembled in the hoop with no guesswork. You'll learn how to piece quilt blocks in your embroidery machine hoop with accurate and consistent results. Nancy Zieman demonstrates this piecing technique on included DVD. A combination-the art of embroidery with paper piecing patchwork techniques-means your embroidery machine does all the work for you. All you have to do is add fabric and flip. After piecing the blocks, see how easy it is enhance them with decorative embroidery and applique all in one hooping.
After mastering the basics, move on to creating 20 projects using the detailed instructions and included embroidery designs. Projects include a wall hanging, miniature quilt, candle placemat, pincushion, hot pad and more. Block styles include log cabin, economy patch, pineapple, heart, sunshine and shadows, snowball. Some blocks incorporate applique. Included 36 minute DVD hosted by Nancy Zieman shows piecing techniques. Notes From Nancy throughout the book provide handy bonus tips.

The Beatitudes

In Christianity, the Beatitudes are blessings from Jesus recorded in the Sermon on the Mount which are found in the book of Matthew 5:3-10. Each block has its own characteristics.
